Weazel News is a fictional news outlet in the GTA universe, owned by Rockstar Games.
Playing as a journalist in a virtual world (a GTA V RP server), involving other players from all over the globe, I decided to collect stories of happenings throughout the city and publish them in a newspaper format for everyone to read.
I used Photoshop to cut out people from images and edit photos, I then used InDesign to make page layouts and compile everything.
I used modern newspapers as inspiration for my layouts, I tried to make it easy to read and navigate.
WEAZEL NEWS APP MOCK UP
One of my goals for Weazel News in my server, is to have an app developed for the in game phone that the players use.
I used Adobe Photoshop to create the splash screen for the app, I wanted to make it modern, professional and clean.
I then jumped into Adobe XD to put together the look for the app, using inspiration from other modern news apps.
EUPHORICAST COVER IDEAS AND MOCK UPS

My first design was inspired by late night talk shows, using Adobe Photoshop I tried to make a neon light effect.
I had another idea to make the cover design a bit more fun and less serious, I had already drawn cartoons of the people involved so I decided to cut them out.
WEAZEL NEWS WEBSITE MOCK UP
It was taking too long to collect enough stories to make the newspapers, so I decided to try and make a website format for the articles - this way articles could be published soon after they had been written.
I used Adobe Photoshop to create the mock up, using shapes, text and images to make something that resembled a simple news website.
After spending a lot of time having to make an article template for other people's articles, I realised it would be more efficient to make a free website using Wix.com.
This allows me to add other journalists to the website, they can then go in and post their own work without having to wait on me.
